The problem
Mould cooling in continuous casting can need conductivity below 400 µS/cm. As cooling water evaporates and recirculates, salts climb until loops must be blown down.
Benefits
- Steady water quality for the most sensitive cooling duties
- Higher cycles of concentration
- Less blowdown and make-up water
Application
Polishes the conductivity of casting and rolling cooling loops, after the solids and oil removal already on site.

Application
Intake conditioning
Lowers conductivity at the primary intake, so every loop downstream has less work to do.

Scrubber loop control
Controls salt build-up in sintering, blast furnace and converter gas-scrubber loops, trimming blowdown.
