The problem
Wet gas scrubbers depend on recirculating water. As it recirculates, salts concentrate and cause scale, while contaminants such as cyanide, ammonia and metals accumulate.
Benefits
- Better scrubber performance
- Less blowdown and make-up water
- A route to targeting contaminants and metals where needed
Application
A side-stream on the scrubber recirculation loop that removes dissolved salts and returns the water. Contaminant or metals targeting is scoped and tested for each loop.

Shown as a standalone job for clarity. Where and how much water is taken and returned is designed around each site, and one unit may do several jobs. Powered by Danu Water's adaptive electromembrane separation.

Application
Intake conditioning
Lowers conductivity at the primary intake, so every loop downstream has less work to do.

Casting and rolling cooling water
Holds conductivity down in casting and rolling cooling loops, where tolerances are tightest.

Recovery from pickling and galvanising
Explores recovering iron, zinc and chloride from pickling rinse and galvanising wash water.
